‘We try to be calm and methodical.’ In serene confidence, Sariri, Hutor Sister of the Rua, smiled as she addressed the glass as much as Kyre. ‘Your tasks for us used to be small and planned; little pushes in the right direction. But, increasingly, we saw those little pushes having vast effects, and we seemed to be managing with tumult all around us, so we didn’t want the pace to slow down.’
Finishing her drink, reaching for a nibble caesa-stick, smiling, her mind obviously dwelling on present successes. ‘We thought it had stalled; you’d sailed out the wind. The Hunelsh were keeping the Tremings apart. But we... and the Coast and Islands… even more so… but...’
You’re stumbling. Kyre took another long drink, eyeing Sariri; her vibrance and gorgeousness; feeling the warmth and subdued bustle and murmurings all around.
