I write and publish epic fantasy, science fiction, and short stories with unexpected twists and a touch of humour.

Married for 50+ years, I have two children, and live in Brinsley, Nottinghamshire, England.

 

​During my working life, I was a teacher, headteacher and school inspector. My Ph.D. research pioneered the use of computers in the education of children with profound learning difficulties during the 1980s. My wife, who is also a retired teacher, jokes that she's been “Sleeping with the Enemy”!

My published articles have mostly been about climbing active volcanoes around the world, and collecting dinosaur footprints along the Yorkshire coast.

Poetry is another love I have, although I have yet to publish most of my efforts. The prospects could be promising, though, as mMy poems and short stories have frequently won prizes.
