I'm terrified of the Great Proofreader in the Sky

I’m terrified. Of making terrible clangs in my writing. I proof-read at least twice, plus bribe two others to do it.

Why?

I read two pages of a Josephine Cox (very sadly died last summer) novel, "The Loner" and found around 30+ errors.

Who isn’t bothering?

I'd be so embarrassed.

We'd have a chapter-length sentence-word if this went on.

Then we'd have to think up a name for them.

Don't you just love technology?
